Q. Why do you send pickup notices so early?

We will call, email, or send a letter when your item is ready for pickup.

You choose your notification method when placing the hold request.The pickup notice you get when a request is ready is sent when the item is returned and checked in. We do our best to get it to the Holds Pickup Room quickly, but sometimes the title is returned to a bookmobile and it takes a little bit longer to get to the holds room.

We recommend waiting at least a day after getting a pickup notice.
