How can I link my account to my child's account?

Our library account system doesn't link accounts of family members like that and each customer has a separate account.

Here are some ideas to help you manager your child's account:

  • Make sure you are listed as a guardian on your child's account. All parents and step parents can be listed. The guardians listed on an account are the people library staff can discuss account details with. You can make that change at the library or a bookmobile.
  • Use the online catalog to manage your child's account - check items out, due dates, or holds. Anyone with the library barcode and PIN can access their account this way.
  • Use your email and or phone to get your child's account notices. Each library account can be set to receive both email and text messages when items are almost-due, overdue and auto-renewed.  While the system can only send 1 email and 1 text, you could set those to go to two different adults, if more than one person wants to be notified.
