Q. How can I link my account to my kid's account?

I want to see what the items my kid has checked out and when they are due without creating a separate account.

Our library account system doesn't link accounts of family members like that and each customer has a separate account.

Here are some ideas to help you manager your kid's account:

  • Make sure you are listed as a guardian on your kid's account. All parents and step parents can be listed. The guardians listed on an account are the people library staff can discuss account details with. You can make that change at the library or a bookmobile.
  • Use the online catalog to manage your kid's account - check items out, due dates, or holds. Anyone with the library barcode and PIN can access their account this way.
  • Use your email and or phone to get your kid's account notices. Each library account can be set to receive both an email AND a text message when items are almost-due, overdue and auto-renewed.  While the system can only send 1 email and 1 text, you could set those to go to two different adults, if more than one person wants to be notified.
