Q. Will I automatically be on hold for physical items I ask the library to purchase?

Answer

We are unable to place you on hold for physical items you ask the library to purchase. When you receive a notification in your library account letting you know that the library will be purchasing the item you requested, you need to put yourself on hold for it. We order new items on Wednesdays. On-order items should appear in the catalog by Friday AM. Occasionally it may take until Monday of the following week to have the on-order items appear in the library catalog. Once an on-order record is in the library catalog, you can place your hold for the item.</p><p>Requests for ebooks and digital audiobooks purchased for Overdrive should be placed through the Overdrive catalog. You will have the option to be automatically placed on hold for Overdrive content you request the library to purchase.
